Anybody know if this is a good amp. I have the opportunity to buy a used one. Its about a 7 outa 10 condition wise. Have not heard it. What should i listen for when trying it out. It will power two lsi9's. Is it still made. Do you think its too old and will break down on me. Will it run the 4ohm lsi's. Sorry for all the ???'s. I am new to using a seperate amp to receiver. Thanks guys.

I owned the TFM 45 version which is the same as a 42, but with meters instead of LED's. It never had a problem with my SRS's and I would expect it to drive the 9's with no problems.

cool! Thanks, I gotta go get it im gonna offer $275 out the door.
$275.00 is a great price for that amp! If it ever needs repair you can send it to Bob Carver himself to be fixed for a flat fee of $175.00 + shipping both ways. Ph. (425) 530-9557

275? thats a no brainer. even a complete break down and repair puts about at market value for those things.
I used a Carver m4.0t (same amplifer in a different case) with the LSi9's. you will not be dissapointed, trust me.

I run my SDA 1c on a tfm-35 and it is excellent. Ran it side by side with an Adcom 5802 and everyone there agreed that the tfm was superior.
