Fellow Polkies please let me know if you have an amp sitting around that you would like to sell. Looking for something to drive my SDA-2B's in my H/T.
Looking for a NAD, ADCOM, CARVER or even something cheaper like an Audiosouce.
I can pay the shipping charges as I have a UPS account. Don't have too much cash to spend, and scratches on the unit are fine.
Basically, I was hoping one of you guys would help me out by selling me one cheap, and in the future, I'll do the same in return.;):)

this should just about do it... there are several tfm series on ebay that will do the job nicely and not break the bank... check craigslist too http://cgi.ebay.com/Carver-TFM-15-PERFECT-IN-BOX-Manual-VERY-Low-Hours_W0QQitemZ260354418802QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_D efaultDomain_0?hash=item260354418802&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1234%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C 240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A3%7C294%3A50

less than $300 is my goal (I'd love to find an old junker for around $150).
Figure if I spend more than that, I may just splurge and get a new one.
Just thought I would give it a shot on CP...I know some of you guys move up and get cool things like tubes and stuff and have some old amps sitting around...LOL

Kind of silly to have a starting bid of $300 and a "Buy it Now" of $300...
Nice amp but I want more power:D

What time frame are you looking to buy? I have something that fits perfectly but it's replacement isn't here yet and I have to make sure it's going to have the proper synergy. If you can wait a week or 10 days I'll have a one owner Adcom 545 FS.

May be interested. Not in a hurry at all. I am sure the 545 is common ground correct?
Thanks H9.

Yes, I use it with my 1C's and it has plenty of reserves to run them as loud as I need.
I'll keep you posted in a week or so.

Just pulled the trigger on a used Audiosource Amp 300 from Agon.
This should work for the time being until I can upgrade to a better quality amp.

I bought my first tube amp for $225.00, my second one will be around $600 and my third and most likely last will be between 6-10K. The one that I got for $225? Damn nice sounding amp....but it wouldn't power the SDA's because it was rated for 8 ohm, not what the SDA's require. That said, the second tube amp I will be getting will drive the SDA's VERY well and it's affordable enough for most anybody to enjoy. Tubes are not that expensive, contrary to popular belief. You just need to do a little research and ask around. Good things come to those who wait. ;)

Like Tom said,, you can get into a good tube amp for a lot less than you think.I got hooked up with an Anthem amp 1 for about 500 dollars,, then I upgraded some caps, about 120.00 or so,,new tubes 100.00, This ocurred over a 12 month period, and I'm happy to say, that I'm very pleased with the outcome. I've heard YOUR speakers on this same amp,, SWEET ;):)

Very nice. Tom told me about the tubes...once you hear them your hooked!!!
I just got this amp to tide me over...only paid $135 delivered to my door.
Having 4 kids forces us to a very tight budget.
I'll use it to power my fronts and my Pioneer to power the center and surrounds.
Peace.

Once I get my second tube amp I'll have to come over with it to have you check it out. I think you'll like it. A lot. ;)
Congrat's on the new toy.
