Price is right and got good reviews on vinyl engine. Just wondering if anyone here has tried it or has another recommendation.

Thanks,

Mike

$44 for a 1lb package? Damn, that's salty.

Does it actually clamp down on the spindle, or is it just a weight? Hard to be certain from the Ebay ad. I don't like using anything real heavy on my belt drive table, I don't think the bearing's up to the task. I've been using a cheapo from KAB Audio, IIRC it was $20 or so. Doesn't hold a candle to Joe's Clamp, though.

This product seems to be just a nicely machined weight....

Mike it's just a weight and although will stabilize the record that's all it will do. What you need is a "reflex" clamp.

Got it Joe, right back atcha. I'm thinking just going the diy route for now. Spent more $$$ than what I had on upgrades recently, so need to improvise until I get some dough saved back up. Hmmmm, maybe I should ask Uncle Barrack for some of that bailout money.  :p :D
