I currently purchased the Onkyo TX-SR606 receiver and a pair or T90e (European Versions of Monitor 60's from what I've read) and wanted some recommendations on completing the Home Theater System. This will mainly be used for movies and some music in a smaller basement room. Budget is a concern when purchasing.

Here are the pieces I am contemplating and wanted some input from experienced Polk owners on recommendations and matching them with the T90e's. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Center: CS1 vs CS2

Subwoofer: PS10, vs PS110, vs PS125

Satellite: Monitor 30 vs Monitor 40's

Thanks in advance

Well for me the CS2 is a much more full sounding center and you can find them for around 100 bucks now, I got mine at newegg for 129 brand new shipped(cherry). be forewarned the CS2 is HUGE!! I had M30's for surrounds but I switched to OWM3's because of the ease of mounting options but the M30's and M40's will both sound great, as most people will tell you though the 40's sound much better if you have the room. As for the sub I have the psw111 because it's nice and small, but from what I hear you're better off with a Velodyne or SVS sub if you can find them for cheap!!

I am with db on this one, I would recommed the CS2 and the Monitor 40's for your surrounds. The 30's will work fine, but the 40's are a much better speaker for not much more than the 30's. I have the Monitor 70's and the CS2 and the Monitor 40's and they play very well together. I also have the PSW125, and while subs are not Polks strong suit, the 125 performs very well in my setup. If you have the cash you may want to look into SVS, or Velodyne as db also stated.

Hi, I have the exact same setup as Jaydub and the exact same questions on componets to finish the setup. My concern right now is if I buy the CS2 where do I place it? It won't fit in front of the TV without blocking the screen. It won't fit on the floor under the TV Cabinet. My only option seems to be somehow placing it on top of 50" panasonic plasma. Does anyone know of a Center Channel stand that would work on top of the TV? I've seen some mentioned in these forums but they look like they're more suited for thicker LCD TV's. What are my other placement options and limitations when it comes to the Center Channel? Is on top too high, floor too low, etc...? Thanks...

I haven't heard many opinions of the OWM3. What do you think of them for surrounds?

I love my OWM3's........They fit perfectly up and out of the way in the corners and they put out plenty of sound using them as surrounds in my setup. Versatile is the word for them......
