CSi A6 Center

Well, I want to pair this along with my SDA II's and am looking for one that is relatively cheap (more than half retail off). Polk said they could get me one for $200 shipped but I would prefer to spend less. Cherry is strongly preferred, but if you have one in black you're willing to sell for cheap, please go ahead and PM me. Called Polk....talked to Jessica....scored 2 of the CSi A6 center channel speakers in Cherry for 204 each delivered to my door...408 for the pair delivered was less then I was going to pay for one :eek:

She took my credit card and it was charged the 408, but I didnt get the confirmation email or the tracking email she mentioned....hopefully it wasnt Doro using a high voice getting more fundage for his massive collection audio goodies ;)

I can't stand waiting for this center channel to get back in stock for $129 plus shipping! What's worse is I've been waiting and they told me that there weren't going to be any more at that price for a while and went back to check and see what they've been selling for and found one for $129 plus $20 shipping on their feedback sold around two weeks ago!:mad: I called them early this month a few times already and have been wanting one to complete my full Polk home theater (except for the subs, wiring, receivers, movies, ect:D). I want a center channel soon! Honestly, I don't care how big or ugly it is as long as it works right and is a CSi A6. It will probably go behind the screen or below the screen (maybe above). Does anybody have one that needs repaired or is scratched or something?!? I can fix it!:)

My 2 arrived from Polk yesterday....luckily the speakers themselves were fine, but both grills had issues...couple of pegs were broken off on one and the grill material was off of the plastic ( Where it is sonically welded ...that wasnt shipping damage...it looked like the material had moved before the weld took place ) on the other.

Called Jessica and she is having Ken send me out 2 new grills....these A6's in cherry are beautiful and the cabinets are really well built. Their choice to go with the veneer on the front baffle instead of the silver like the previous versions was what made me jump on these.

They are REALLY large too...dwarfing my new A4 I had gotten off of Amazon prior to these.


Polk Direct basically got me 2 of these for what one would have cost out in the regular channels...sure they are refurbs... but with the grill issues aside, the speakers themselves were perfect. With Polk taking care of the bad grills under warranty , they will be in fact just as good as a new purchase...I would buy from them again in the future and recommend them to others as well.

I don't care. I don't want to spend $50 extra dollars if I can wait. I just would like to know how long I'll need to wait. I'm about to just totally give up if Polk doesn't give me any answers. I'm frankly a little upset about the whole thing...

I talked with them yesterday and they only had 2 black refurb. a6's in stock. I bought one of those. :) If you look at the last one they sold on ebay it went "buy it now" $199 plus ship. If you call in you can get them for $200 shipped, which is a hell of a deal.

I can do $160 shipped, maybe. I really can't justify spending any more. I've never heard it nor seen it and don't know how well it will go along with my system. I'd prefer cherry if at all possible though. Looks like I'll be calling them up again tomorrow to see if they've got any cherry's left and what kind of price I can get it down to...
