It'll drive those CRS+s(with pin/blade) to heavenly tunes, as long as you have the AI-1 trans/cable/interconnect. It's not common ground, iirc. I'd get a little more info from Gary Dodd or RuSsMaN.

Yes, there is a remote with 4 IN and 2 OUT... No phono input.

Do you know how this preamp would compare to cary SLP-98P?

I don't have experience in this comparison in the same system setup. From a different system, Cary SLP-98 tends to have a warmer and relax sound I think. Dodd sound is more neutral and forward. Of course, changing the tubes might change the sounds, too.

Russman might have a better opinion for this comparison.

I think these use the same tubes as the cary. I have been looking for an upgrade to my dynaco pas3. The price for your preamp sure looks appealing.

One thing I know is Cary 98 preamp is smaller and lighter than Dodd preamp. Both use tubes 6SN7 with external power supply.
