Hello,
I have SDA-2A's, Monitor 40's, and just ordered new Lsi9's. I have a Pioneer SX-1280 - 185 continuous watts per channel, 8 ohms. Will I have a problem with the Lsi9's with this receiver? Will use 14 guage wire all around. Second question...my SDA's are in excellent condition, but I don't hear good separation of musical instr...maybe it's the music? Thanks.

need to run separates for the sda's to run their best, do you have the i/c cable connected on them? same applies to trhe lsi series... they are a great speaker but love POWER!!! and they will sing like angels...

Thanks for your reply!! Yes, I have the IC cable connected on the SDAs...did not know that Lsi9's require one but the speakers aren't here yet. Which are the better speakers, the SDAs or the Lsi9's? I was considering selling the SDAs.

if the lsi's have the interconnect do the RTi12's as well? if so can you tell me how to do this?

LSi speakers do not have interconnects. I suspect the RTis do not have them either.

There were no additional plugs on the back of my 12's...didn't know if connecting a common ground wire is what someone was talking about.

They thought you were talking about:

"Hello,
I have SDA-2A's"

Typically you wont get as much seperation with music unless it's mixed in 5.1. Use Prologic if your AVR has it.

He meant that seperates will be better for the LSIs. Only SDA use interconnects.
