its a custom ported box with all the specs and requirements all exact...its in the back of my cab cause i have an extended cab so it does have some airspace and some breathing room.

kenwood and especially memphis specs r very true. i need rms ratings. whats 900wrms, the amp? if rms specs match up like i think u r saying, then that sub should be fine in ported box especially if its dimensions or internal volume r close to recommended. should sound nice and loud...

the amp at two ohms is 900 rms and the sub is 500 rms. the peak on the amp is 1800 watts and the peak on the sub is 1000 watts

if the sub is wired at 2 ohms which means 900wrms and everything else you say is true, which i'm not doubting, your pushing that sub to its outer limits which might be ok. u just have to be very careful on those gains and boost, ect. how does it sound? must be loud. that sounds like a lot of juice for that sub and box. maybe too much and a sealed box would work better. be careful with your adjustments and see how it sounds. may work...

just be careful. u may want to back off on that boost. just use your common sense. it will probably be very loud almost anyway you tune it. you probably have a decent size alternator so you are probably giving it the full 900w. might want to try baking off on that boost, just a suggestion. that sub should sound loud plus nice, i think more of an sq sub, eh?
