I'm considering some upgraded ICs for my rig and am looking at two of AQ's mid tier ICs - the Diamond Back and the King Cobra.
The pictures for the cables show silver plated RCA connectors, but the technical descriptions on the AQ website say that they are gold plated.
Anyone have a set? Are they silver or gold RCAs?
Should the description say that the connectors are silver plate over gold plate?

Sounds like AQ's website should be corrected then for the technical descriptions for the Diamondbacks.
Thanks for checking.

Ive read that the king cobras are more bang for the buck.Better than the DBs and not all that much more. All the ones Ive seen had silver RCAs.Audio adviser has the Black mamba II ICs with AQ silver plated RCAs for 99.00 link> http://www.audioadvisor.com/prodinfo.asp?number=AQBMII

How weird - I'm on audio advisors website looking at the Black Mamba II right now
I'm also looking at the Diamondback here - Yet even here - there are two views of the cable details: one shows silver RCAs and the other shows gold!
I feel like Yukon Cornelius from Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer: "Silver and gold...silver and gold"
I'm soooo confuzzled....;)

I noticed that too.And they are asking way too much for those diamondbacks. And the description below talks about gold plated RCAs.You might want to consider bens silver ICs.You could send him some connectors of your choice like these if you want silver RCAs.>>>http://www.needledoctor.com/Audioquest-RCA-800-Fits-Cables-Up-To-9mm-Requires-Soldering-2-Pair?sc=2&category=427 Ben might have a source for a better price on AQ-800 RCAs though so ask him.

If I'm reading the audioadvisor website correctly, their Black Mamba IIs are their "equivalent" to the regular Diamondbacks - if so, then 99 for a 1m RCA pair is a better bargain.

I agree. They are a great deal.I may get a pair to compare to my air matrix ICs although I doubt they will surpass them. But you never know till you do your own shootout.
