Oh hell yes I'm getting the vinyl when it comes out. That album is a masterpiece, but the original releases sounded a bit thin. I've heard the remaster sounds much better. Can't wait!

Just ordered mine. Lossless download in process, warm'n up the TT for when the vinyl gets here.
So how does it compared to the original CD?
After hearing The Mix Up, I'm betting this is going to be killer. I'm cynical though considering recent other 'remasters' that @#$%ed up the original more than fixed it.

The vinyl doesn't come out 'till tomorrow, but I've read positive comments about the SQ of the cd remasters.
If it sounds as good as The Mix Up does I'll be quite content.
I'm going to memorize the track by track album commentary the Beastie Boys did for this so I can impress people at parties and happy hours.

Haven't had a chance to do any "critical" listening but the new mastering is definitely louder. Can't make any statements as to SQ as i've only done a side by side on my computer speakers.

So any impressions from those who have listened to the remastered CD yet?
I love the original album, but as someone mentioned above it does sound thin...not a particularly good recording. Just want to see if they got this one right before I buy it again.
