I have a Tivo that I do not use anymore.

Is there a use for it as a server for music, pictures or movie's?

Should I just shelve it or raid it for parts?

Which model? if it is a DTV HD Tivo then you could us it as a digital over OTA tuner.

No it is a SD Series 2. I have not used it for over a year because the built in DVR's and On Demand for the kids.

What kind of service did you have on it Monthly or Lifetime?

How well do you know linux? You can do a good bit with it, but it's not the most friendly to work with.

Lifetime service and sorry to say I don't know Bo Diddley about Linux.
