The Mummy Returns...what a mess

WOW! Talk about flushing a sequel down the toilet. This had to be one of the worst sequals I've seen to date.

After the very enjoyable Mummy, this was a complete let-down. Way...way......way to much CGI, and to boot is was very unrealsitic looking. The cheesy humor from the first was gone, almost non-existant in this movie. Too much attempt at a story, within a story...within another story.

I got so bored half-way thru I had to turn it off and watch the second half the following night.

I could not diss-agree more... I thought the mummy returns was a lot better than the 1st... But I think they go hand/hand. In reality if one did not see the first...they would be lost on the 2nd. I was very entertained with this movie... The tansfer and the 5.1 were excellent to me... I realy enjoyed this one more than the first, but I think they are both great movies...

for a change..there has been a rash of 2nd movies better than the fist (at least to me)

I would not say The Mummy Returns is better than the first, but it was a fun movie. I actual thought it was going to be better until the end with the scorpion. The first also has more adventure.

I couldn’t agree more it sucked, in just about every way possible image sucked acting sucked and sound sucked.

It should be titled The Mummy Sucks! And to think I saw it twice in two different cinemas in the same round with different sound systems and set-ups. And worse I own the region 2 DVD oh the horror of owning a turkey.

I was actually just joking (like my response in the star wars thread) because these threads are so old.

I actually do own both mummies and all the star wars. Anything with lots of action I ussually put in my collection. I even have War of the Worlds (lots of things blow up and they make Tom Cruise an ass wipe [the 2 best parts of the movie]).

Now I’d like to buy the new version of the original War of Worlds, what I mean is. There was two different versions released on region 2 one that doesn’t have any extras and one that does audio commentary sessions and more as well as a Dolby stereo 2.0 mix.

I like the older ones there less noisier than War of the Worlds 2005, sure it’s a good demonstration between dynamic range. But the Mummy Returns sucked in the cinema that I first saw it at. It was all toppy and bright sounding with hardly any low end authority to support the poor bass response on those old Altec A-4 placed behind the screen 40 year old loudspeakers with state of the art Dolby CP-500 and QSC amplifiers you’ve got to be kidding.:o

The mummy's girlfriend is the hottest woman on the planet.

And then a SWORDFIGHT with Brendan Frasier's character's woman, oh my!!
