Nad t765 avr

Well, NAD came thru as promised & sent me a T765 AVR to make up for the repair issues I had with my 5yr old T773. The T765 was at "No Charge" to me which was superb on NAD's part. They really didn't have to do anything for me since my T773 was 5yrs old & way out of warranty. I was impressed!

As far as performance goes this unit is top notch. The sound is phenominal & really shines over what the T773 sounded like. And I really liked the sound of the T773. I guess technology really changes that much over 5yrs. As far as power goes I'm only using it to power my surrounds (Polk LSiFX 4ohm) & it doesn't break a sweat pumping sound out of them. NAD is truly one of only a few companies that actually build their AVR's to handle 4ohm loads as the norm & can even handle 2ohm loads with dynamic power. LSi owners take heed.

As a preamp for two channel it really shines...no complaints here. NAD builds their AVR's with a "Music First" philosophy that pays dividends for the end user. Their pre section is a full fledged pre that sounds superb. They don't believe in unnessary bells & whistles. Nothing but what's needed to perform extremely "Musical" for both HT & two channel. Needless to say...I'm a hapy camper.

Kudo's to NAD for such a fine line & outstanding customer service. Over & above the norm for sure.

I'm reminded of one I read about years ago when Lexus was trying to break into the US luxury car market. A lady became stranded out in god knows where because she locked her keys in the car. Called CS and they told her to smash the car windows, drive to the Lexus dealer in the next town and they would phone ahead for a free glass replacement.

It is just such a simple concept that no doubt turns customers into customers for life. It is a wonder the number of companies that just don't get it. Obviously NAD does.

Not only does NAD build a quality line of products, they get it when it comes to CS. You'd think there would be a host of others that would follow suit. Some companies do but I feel that list is shrinking.

The more I listen to the T765 AVR the more I'm impressed. It just does everything right. It's a killer unit for both HT & 2 channel. And a 4ohm speaker load is a walk in the park for this guy!

What kind of issues did you have with the T773? I've had one for quite a while and it seems like a tank. It's basically only a pre right now, but I'm going to use it in a 5.1 bedroom system in the near future.

You're right...it is a beast!!! I just had bad luck with mine. Apparently NAD had some QC control issues with the T...series a few years back. If you got one the was solid (as yours is) they were good to go for the long haul. Some weren't so lucky (my luck). I had numerous problems, digital boards, loud pop thru the front speakers, annoying hum/hiss thru all the speakers. It was serviced 4 times & that's when NAD offered me the T765 (no charge) for my troubles. I can't complain with the way things turned out. I really did like the T773 though. A solid performer when it wasn't acting up.

The T765 is a great piece also...I'm really enjoying it. Fantastic sound for both HT & 2 channel.

I had a T773 also that was a lemon. NAD CS replaced it with a T765 even though it was out of warranty.
