I played this last night for about an hour and a half, and it was the most boring game I have ever played. Please tell me it gets better.

Yes, it gets better. I thought the beginning of the game (first 3-4 hours for me) were slow and a bit boring, but like a good book if you give it some time it turns into a fantastic adventure.

I never got a chance to get down to my local CC before they closed. Last Sunday (I think) was their last day and my buddy was telling me he went down there and everything they had left, which was probably a half eaten bag of Cheetos and a couple of Dr. Peppers from the vending machine in the employee lounge was 90% off!! I drove by it today on the way back from my daughters CT scan and it was all closed up and ready for "relocation" Would have been nice to get some cables, connectors, games, wires, etc. but oh well ya snooze ya loose right?

I'm hating amazons price switching recently. $25 now...I've seen prices change 3 times within 6hours.
Probably dropping the price since the GOTY edition is coming out with all the downloadable content.

Yeah, just saw the GOTY edition today. Thats the real bargain. Almost pulled the trigger on it at Gamestop. Going to hunt for some deals first.

Just picked this up for $28 from Amazon and applied a game credit from ACII. In hand on Friday.
My wife is currently playing FO3. She told me that it's creepy....which means she won't play half the games i like! LOL!

Make her play Deadspace, record a video, report back.

Agreed. Fallout3 is like Nintendogs compared to Dead Space in HD and full surround.

So are all the hours spent on this game just because of replay value or how long it takes to complete?
A few of my friends were addicted to this game and the reviews are great so I figured it's probably well worth the $28 bucks to check out.

Definitely check out Dead Space like mentioned above. This game is one of the scarier games Ive played. Its also a great f**king game! I recently played it all the way thru and am working on going thru again. I almost never do that.
F.E.A.R. is also a very creepy game. The game itself is so-so but there are several scenes in there thatll make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck.
As for Fallout 3, I really want to play this as I havent heard anything bad about it at all. Due to me being a broke bitch, I have a $19.99 price limit on games and since this one seems to be forever stuck at the $40+ range I may be waiting a while.

More the former then the later. My first time through I did few of the side quests and took 20-25hrs, I would say 20hrs on the main quest. 2nd time through I really explored and spent over 50hrs playing the game, I literally missed half the game.
There is so much optional stuff, plus different ways of going about things so the game feels very fresh each time. For example there's one part with a slave camp, my first time through I missed it completely, second time I freed the slaves, third time I was a trader and captured some runaways for a bounty.

I love the game, but you have to get the GOTY edition. It has all the add on missions. Really cool game!

I does start out slow but once you get some good weapons and you can really start exploring it becomes very addicting. Put off completing the main campaign and do alot of the side missions. I just loved exploring this world.
I would also suggest disarming the bomb in Megaton early. You get your own place and it is a good place to store tons of weapons.:D

Yeah, it definitely is starting to get a lot better. Especially when I figured out that whole Action Points thing. Some very cool attack/kill cinematics. I do like the auto-travel thing too. Beats having to run around for hours on end to get from place to place.

Love the game... Finished it up and am doing operation anchorage now. Too bad Borderlands has started to take up all my time.
I liked doing random things in the game though, for example letting the ghouls kill everyone in Tenpenny tower, then killing all the ghouls.
I'm bad.

I've played LOTS of games on PC, and Fallout 3 is my favorite of all time. The level of enjoyment with this game is directly proportional to how much you put into it. If you treat it just like any other FPS and take a very linear approach I'd say it's average at best. If you like to explore and take the time to really get into the game, it literally never gets old. I believe I have over 100 hours in the game, but I've been playing it since it came out.
I did have some technical issues along the way and bethesda support isn't the greatest, but I got through it.

I've also played through with a few different character builds:
First I played through as a 100% good guy with crazy amounts of karma.
Then I played through as a complete *******, taking the bad path wherever possible.
Right now I'm playing in what I like to call Dirty harry style, where I'm basically a good guy but also kind of an ******* at the same time, so far I'm having the most fun this time around.
