I owned one and sold it to Bruce several years ago (tour2ma). What do you need to know, Al?

all i know about it is that it's suppose to be 115wpc, it's a small amp as amps go. it's up for sale at a silent auction. I put in a bid of $50 thinking if I get it for that.. and least I didn't overpay. this one I was looking at appears to be about a 8/10 on condition. it may need a new power switch.. i see one on epay if I need one.
speaking of.. where is Bruce (tour2ma)? Haven't seen in here for quite some time.

I think one of the McG Bros. ran his 2.3's for years on a couple of Haflers with satisfactory results.

it's MOSFET based amp. Powerful, as in doesn't get beyond warm when pushed hard. $50 is very reasonable, sold mine to Bruce for $200 (I think, it's been awhile ago). Power switch does tend to have slight problem (the lighted flicker sometimes) but it doesn't affect anything. For your typical system usage, the bass tend to be lacking. I tried it on my LSi9 before, it was flat (in not so favorable way for my taste) even compared to a Denon Integrated AVC-3030. Older vintage style brute power amp.

ok. thanks. yeah on epay they start at about $50 on up.. to about $200.
I just like amps.. and I can hardly pass one up when I see one. It's an addiction I can't break. ;)
Plus, i don't even need it.. but I like to mix and match components on the cheap.. maybe one may even sound ok with the right pre amp.

I would jump on it for $50 but due to its age it could likely use new filter caps and bridge rectifier.

mine was paired with Hafler DH-110 which I sold last year to one of our distinguished gentleman here. In its heyday, it was used to drive a pair of B&W DM-110 with a very satisfactory result (at that time).

I've got one that I payed the same price for at a garage sale. I used it in my bedroom rig for quite some time. Not as nice as my Carver or Kenwood 9100 but a good amp none the less. You can still get parts for it on the bay.
