View Full Version : Who's been keeping up with LOST?
I've been watching LOST for a while. After it had been on for a couple of seasons, I went and bought the first 2 to catch up. I'm pretty sure I've not missed a single episode(DVR is a godsend), but has it gotten even more confusing lately or it just me?

I have watched since the beginning. I think sometimes you just have to go with it and it make sence down the line. I feel pretty on track with the show, today.
I understand, just four seasons in and still very little answers. Maybe they think it'll be a 15 season show. Unlikely if they don't start throwing some viewers a bone now and then. I'll always watch it, just because I refuse to let it go until I know all.:D

I guess it's a little more confusing because they're actually answering some questions, and the answers involve things like time travel which is inherently confusing.
It helps if you find a nice place to read recaps and such after each episode. It kind of helps you put everything you saw into place.
EDIT : Also, they do NOT think it will be a fifteen season show - next season is the last season. They decided that last year. Which is why, at least in most people's opinions, they have really sped the story up a lot (as opposed to a few of the seasons where it kind of wandered a bit)

I watched it the first two seasons but this year they have lost me.:p I just can't stay interested in it anymore. Just go ahead and tell me what the damn island is about already. Same with Heroes. Bleh.
15 was an exaggeration, ya know. Glad they'll be ending next year. That way they won't water it down with a bunch of mindless crap like most other good shows did at one point, just to extend the series.
Has anyone else noticed how many BSG actors have moved on to new or other series already? I've seen at least 6 or 7 of them on other shows in the last few weeks.
One more thing, did anyone watch Dollhouse? Was it worth a watch?

I k now you were exaggerating. The series creators were worried about the same thing you are (watering down the show with stupid stuff) so they decided to set an end date to avoid it. I think it's really tightened everything up as far as bringing the story in a consistent direction. Yeah it's still confusing as hell but at least now it's confusing with an apparent direction (even if I don't know what direction that is, yet).

My DVR decided not to record it for some reason  I"ll have to catch it online.

I've never missed an episode, but I'm not sure I've ever been able to "keep up" with Lost's incredibly convoluted and complex story line.
It looks like I will aslo add Dollhouse to my Lost, Sarah Conner Chronicles and My Own Worst Enemy list of fantasy escape genre shows on the DVR

The first year of both LOST and HEROES was outstanding, but they just "lost" their way after that....couldn't learn when to stop....

I've been watching lost since the beginning, i've got every show this season recorded so far, haven't watched them yet though.
I also have Dollhouse recorded but haven't watched that yet either, might watch it tonight.

Doc Jensen Totally Lost (http://www.ew.com/ew/package/0,,1550612_20245764,00.html?bcpid=4396297001&bclid=9302206001&bctid=9298105001&xid=rss-tv-%27Totally+Lost%27%3A+Doc+Jensen%27s+show%21%0D%0A %0D%0A%0D%0A)
I've burned through and out on so many theory threads...it just too much and can spoil the show. Now I recap through Doc Jensen's show. Just about perfect for now :)

Staying with it but in hopes that they do speed it up. If it was more than another season I might bail lose complete interest.

I think I've seen every episode, and it is getting more and more confusing. I think the goal is to make you lost in what's going on. My brother watched and episode last week and said he tried to understand something, but could not figure out a single thing that was going on.

Still one of the best shows on TV. While Heroes fell off during its second season and gets worse every week, Lost manages to stay highly entertaining. Main reasons being the quality of acting and directing week in and week out is better than most of the drek you get on the tube. Has the story been confusing at times? Sure it has, but for good reason. This season and the next are all about answers to the many questions that were posed over the first four. For those who have remained loyal viewers, the pay-off is at hand.

I've still never seen this show...I've heard a lot about it though. I've been meaning to pick up the first season sometime. I'm definitely interested in checking it out. It sounds like a really cool concept.

I hate watching TV shows.... I always wait to get them on DVD. I have had my eye on LOST since it came out, and can't wait to start buying some of the seasons once it's complete.
I just don't have time to sit and watch tv ever single week/day... and half of the time is spent on commercials! But again, that's just me.
Please make sure you label things SPOILERS after this season and next, so I won't read those :) :) :)
Show was great...AGAIN. I thought quite a few things were cleared up last night.

I'm really dying ot know what could have happened to Aaron that made Kate so hopeless about him in the span of 48 hours.

Surely Ben had something to do with it or did he go take care of Penny's dad or did he get Syaid arrested????

Even worse - he said when he was leaving that he had to fulfill a promise to an old friend. The only "old friend" we know of is Penny's dad, and his promise to him was.... that he would kill Penny.

Whoever he went after, he got his ass kicked...AGAIN. That's why I think it had something to do with Syaid. But, Kate could probably kick his ass, too.

My guess is Desmond caught him coming after Penny. Everyone else that could have kicked his ass like that was on the flight with him, you woudln't think they'd be so civil.
I get your point. Desmond has to return at some point, right? The island isn't done with him yet.
I'd have to think that John will be resurrected, too.

I like just keeping up with it here on this thread. It saves a lot of time and aggravation. Just let me know what happens and what it all means.

I watch Knight Rider for those "dumbing down/ non thinking" moments. It's a quite entertaining Ford commercial.

No commercial is that entertaining. :P
Stuck in 1974....hmmmmmmmm
Sayid kills young Ben. What will come of that I wonder?

I have to assume that young Ben will still be alive - most likely the Island brings him back to life. If so, and he remembers Sayid shooting him as a child, it certainly explains why Ben treats Sayid like he does in modern days (as a cold-blooded killer, basically).

In my opinion you only truly die when off of the island. If you die while on the island you will reappear later on. Take John, Ben shot him and left hoim for dead but he returned. Later, he died/murderd by Ben while away from the island.
John will be back. Just like Christian Sheppard. His body was on the plane just like Jack's dad.
