Hi folks - the debatable mx is back and hes asking questions...
I got my eye on the 550 dollar SVS. What other subwoofers for 600 dollars or less is out there.
What im looking for -
*Powerful (wont distort at loud volumes - within reason)
*Loud, I dont care if it hits only down to 30 hz, I want it to play loud
*accurate
*small...it can be tall, but I need it to be relatively small.
if you can think of a sub, plz tell me.

SVS = much more clean output and similar extension.
Velo is STILL a great deal, though.

GANZO! Hows your sub hit? does it play loud? distort? eh? Whats the condition? good? If you don't mind holding it until around July or so, I might take a swing at it.
Heard the Velo ch12 - Its not bad. But I dont think it would satisfy our young friends taste for loud and clear......
Velo makes good stuff, but the cht series is not much better than Polk.

When I go on a fun trip to CC, i go right over Polk subs...they don't look impressive and i've heard such bad things...
Most CC's carry the cht12...... its worth listening to. It would probably make a guy like me happy
Though that SVS.... man oh man...... Im still drooling

so Mom didn't cough up the 3 grand? :)
Two questions:
You need a powered one?
What are the limits on its footprint? any height restriction?
Guess that was three questions...
