It's awesome on Blu Ray, a must have. Even if you don't like Dave, I think most people will get some enjoyment out of the concert itself, but the quality alone makes this a must have for any Blu Ray owner.

I, too, am curious about this. I love Dave Matthews, and love the CD that he and Tim performed: Live at Luther College. Most of the songs on here I am unfamiliar with...seems like a softer version of them - I'm used to hearing the rock out on "Warehouse" or "Jimi Thing"...this seems like the light version...any comments on the playlist and how the songs fit into their typical genre?

Awesome performance!! I don't own the Blu Ray disc (holding out for the Oppo player) but I watched the show on HD-Net, they were showing it as part of their Sunday concert series. I didn't know most of the songs either. It didn’t matter, a really enjoyable show. Tim Reynolds is a freak on the acoustic guitar!!

i had heard of him in the past, but nothing more than a couple radio hits they had...saw one of their concerts on a HD channel and really got into it, in the last few months i have DL'd a few cds and also have the radio city concert on my netflix que...its some pretty good relaxing music for sure

Just my opinion here, but as a native Virginian I think the DMB best work is relegated to the years between 1992 and 1996 -- we used to pay $5 to see him play at the Flood Zone, a relatively small club in Richmond, VA on Wednesday nights back in 92/93. After that, Remember Two Things was released and, well, it was kind of like when the Beatles crossed the Atlantic and went on tour in the U.S. in '64.

That said, I do enjoy the Live at Luther College double-disc with Tim Reynolds. Does anybody know when the concert captured on Blu-Ray was performed? (I'm assuming its not the same show).

Here's what I would love to see: concerts of the whole band from the 1990s formatted in HD/Blu-Ray. Maybe that technology is not even possible....but it would be awesome if it were...back in the day, the whole band had an absolutely amazing synergy. Lots of good memories.

Ah, Myo, if I would have seen this thread last night, I would have popped it in the mail for you to watch. It was one of the first blurays I bought and it's got a great soundtrack. The song selection is good, but it doesn't quite have the energy of the Luther College sessions. But then again, Tim and Dave are 10 years older. Overall, a great buy.

I believe this concerts was in 2006, but could be mistaken.

IMO their best album was actually Before These Crowded Streets, even though it didn't have as much radio play as UTTAD and Crash.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH, the Flood Zone. Lots of memories there,lol. DMB put on some good shows back then and still does. I saw him last year down on Cary at Plan 9 looking in the used cd section no less. Never talked to him as there were so many "fans" around him plus I was working at the time with D.C. Curry. Don't think he would have liked it if I left him high and dry to talk to someone,lol.

There is a really good club for live music called Toad's Place down in the bottom but with outside promoters booking the venue for hip hop shows it has received LOTS of negative publicity lately. Just last week there was a "mayday" called and half of the Richmond police force showed up to get things under control.
