Blu-Ray Player

I can't find a good BD player with matching med-hi end pre/pro and amp(s). I've looked at Rotel, Adcom, Anthem and even Sunfire and Classe. Any reason BD is being avoided? Or anyone hear of any rumored product intro's? Or maybe another manufacturer I haven't though of?

I'm not aware of any mid/hi-end amplifier & pre-amp company making "source" products. Not many (if any) have ever really been into it as far as I know. Don't know the reason other than perhaps because it is somewhat of a different animal and the technology changes a lot faster and would require an "alliance" with some one else (lack of control, quality). With so many source manufacturers available there hasn't really been a need. Source components are becoming chips with motors with new models coming out every couple of months.

Perhaps it's similar to why separate manufacturers usually don't get into speakers either.

Skip the seperates and buy an all in one chasis that can compete with seperates even besting some of them of the ones you mention...............wait for it..................Pioneer Elite SC-09 all day long
