The telephone rang...
The doctor called and bears me bad news
"Your father died at 5 PM today", she said
Dad? I couldnt believe it, Dad?
He left us on his next mysterious journey
Never met nor hold his Deaf grandson
Nevermore wooting for Atlanta Braves?
Nevermore fishing Bass?
Nevermore waving Checkers flag?
Nevermore Dale Earnhardt?
It felt funny driving your silver car
Your damn fog lights won't turn off
I did not know what to do with it
Dad, I miss you and love you
Yes, we had odd way to show our love
I knew you loved and cared for me
Fly, Fly away and good luck on your journey
