Just got it today, I guess it was released last month. WOW I love old school VAN HALEN. Hope they release the rest on 180 HQ Vinyl, It kicks ass. I already upgraded my TT this past Saturday with the Technics SL-1210M5G. I still have the Audiotechnia PL-120 i got from Mike, but this TT is night and day from the PL-120. I know i did'nt have it up that long, But after i went out and got like 20 new LP's i figured a better TT had to happen. Plus i got it for $489 so i was happy. Would have loved to have that Marantz, But money played a key in it as well. Eather way this TT sounds GREAT.
I also got NIN Downward Spiral, And TOOL's Undertow. If anybody has TOOL's ANIMA on Vinyl, And would like to part with it maybe we can work something out.

I am going to machine my own at work out of brass or 6061 aluminum then polish it. Should have it done by the end of the week.:D

Might I recommend that you use delrin for the base and brass for the collet.

Make me one to. :D
The 120's a nice table for starting out, but the 1210 is a whole other league Larry. You also got the DL-160, right? After 20 hours or so you will be in audio bliss. Enjoy! :)
Joe, if you think those Motown CD's I did for ya sound good, you should hear some of the transfers I've done with the Technics and DL-160 combo. ;)

You're going to love that cartridge. Guaranteed!
When she starts to break in and open up it's true bliss. Doesn't that magnet under the platter of the 1210 look like some sort of alien technology? :D
