Those aren't being sold as music CDs. They are being sold as "collectors items".
THIS IS WHAT MYMUSICFIX IS CALLING OUR "ONE & DONE" COLLECTION. EACH OF THESE TITLES ARE OUR LAST PREFECTLY SEALED COPIES LEFT FOREVER. EACH IS IN COLLECTORS CONDITION WITH NO STORE STICKERS EVER ATTACHED. OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS AROUND 30 TO 40 OF OUR 24 KARAT GOLD TITLES ARE SOLD OUT & GONE FOREVER "EACH "COUPLE OF MONTHS" WITH SOME SELLING OUT AT PRICES UP TO $500 FOR A SINGLE TITLE.
THIS LISTING WILL KEEP CHANGING EACH MONTH AS WE CONTINUE TO SELL OUT OF THESE MASTERPIECES. EACH TITLE LISTED HERE MYMUSICFIX ONLY HAS ONE TO TWO COPIES LEFT FOREVER. THIS LISTING IS FOR "COLLECTORS ONLY" WHO ARE LOOKING TO HAVE THERE LAST CHANCE TO OWN ONE THESE ONE OF A KIND PIECES OF GOLD. DON'T MISS OUT
My experience is that whenever something is sold as a "collectors item" that is sure to increase in value....
It rarely is and almost never does....

The hell with that!
What good is a music cd if ya can't listen to it?
I collect em too....collect AND listen to em.
Can't tell my Cd's from new other than they are opened.
Been collecting on and off since they 1st came out.
I'm getting there....100 singles and dunno how many 2+ Cd sets now.
That's just my Classical!! ;)

If I had the moola, I'd get it in a heartbeat. No doubt.

I wouldn't even if I had the cash and could afford them. I can think of a lot better ways to spend $21,500.

Eh, different priorities I guess. I blew that amount on audio crap in one year. It would be nice to spend the same amount on the best of the best. Kna' mean?.......music, that is.........plus, it's a nice collection that's ready to purchase. It's not like you have to do the work, pay for shipping, spend time to gather it all, etc.....

Yeah...I guess. I would have no problem spending that much money on audio...just not on THIS. IMO it is overpriced based on the percieved "collectable" nature of the product. I already own at least half or more of that group, most of which are very good recordings in thier own right...and if they were say...$30 each I might consider the upgrade on some...but not at $160.

The question is: How many ounces of GOLD are in that collection? Someone MIGHT be getting more for their $$$$, especially, if the price of gold keeps going up:p

looks like a club buy and then we can circulate them amongst the group, kinda like netflix!
