Will my box work?

I bought a sealed box for GNX 10 inch woofers and the box is already carpeted. Do I have to peel the carpet back to mount the sub or do I mount it right over the carpet? It seems like the carpet is glued do pretty tight around the edge of the precut wholes for the subs? What do I do?

Thats fine. mount it right on top of the carpet. You won't even need a gasket. The carpet will act as a gasket.
