a few month's ago the battery in my Garmin GPS started to not hold a charge anymore for more than 15 minutes.
I emailed Garmin and they said send it in ground mail, insured, etc. I did... and received it back today.. 12 days total ground to Olathe, KS. and home to Spokane, WA.
It looks like they gave me a new or refurbished unit of the same model.. which is fine with me... as mine was barely over a year old, and a discontinued model.
the best part was that it didn't cost me anything other than shipping of $9.10.
I was expecting to receive an email with the bill for repairs.. but no, nada, zilch!
I am very happy that they honored their warranty and took care of me.. as with Polk Audio, I will be a Garmin user for life.
