There are only a few Hi-fi audio stores I have not ventured to in this area, most of them are over an hour away. Regardless, the few I have been to has given me an appreciation for the system I own.
Sure - it may not have the thump and balance of a calibrated high class home theater, or the finese of those 20-30k systems - but for the price, my system friggen rocks.
Although the LSi's do not satisfy me, its becoming clear just how good of speakers these are when comparing them against the popular likes of B&W, Paradigm, Revel, NHT, KEF...all who seem to capture much more praise.
I can say with confidence that the LSi-9's out-perform every bookshelf I have pinned them up against. The only close contestant (actually, surpassing the LSi's in a few areas) would be the B&W Nautilus 805's. Simply awesome stuff.
Its a damn shame most places don't carry the LSi's ......... in fact two out of the three stores I have been in - never even heard of em. I am making it a goal to bring in the Polks, give those gentlemen a demonstration of the value/performance advantage...With any luck, they will consider carrying the Lsi...
