View Full Version : Is there a thread for good/bad customer service?

Hi all. I have searched but haven't found anything directly addressing this issue.
I am new, and it would be of great help to get people's personal experiences with equipment manufacturers, warranty issues, comments on dealers, etc. I believe that we could all benefit from the positive experiences that people have had, as well as the negative experiences. Of course, it is in our best interest to help each other out with your own experiences.
Please don't misunderstand me, I am not asking for a b*tch-fest, or anything of that type. I am simply asking for people to share their experiences in a productive manner that would help others to make better, more well-informed decisions.
Also, I would like to set the tone further by asking people not to post opinions about things that they simply have had no experience with. I would kindly ask that this we would all take the high road and refrain from bashing each other, or any type of name calling. I know the folks that do that are few and far between, but we can choose to simply ignore the instigators to be.
This would give us all a heads up as far as customer service and overall product satisfaction. It could help us to get a "lay of the land" for anyone interested in a specific company's customer service, overall quality of products, and how you are treated from beginning to end, that is, from the pre-sales right on through to the long-term ownership of a product.
Also, if I have mistakenly done something wrong with this thread, please be kind, I am new, and just trying to have some positive input into this forum.
Thanks,
Matt

Welcome to CP,
That's what the entire internet is for. Not nec to have it here on this forum, IMO. There is a plethora of information out there for just about anything and everything you can think of. Certainly if you or someone else wants to ask about a specific product you want user feedback on...............that's done all the time. But to have a static place to post about random CS issues or the like......isn't nec.

I would agree with H9 about the customer service part. There are a lot of sites better suited to specific product / company reviews. I think that along with that the very "generic" nature of CP is a bonus of sorts. I do agree that a few people "contribute" to posts and offer no real contribution other than a personal opinion or generic camp-follower response. Probably could do with a lot less of that.
Even then, sometimes a non-specific suggestion can be worthwhile if it ties in with the poster's question / problem. A little mini-bashing between friends is OK occasionally but I do agree in some cases just staying out of it would be the "higher road".
It would be nice to have a few sticky sections on some of the common questions that seem to pop up over and over but I suspect some people will just ask them anyway. Beating up people that don't use the search function should be OK. Overall I think the Club has a unique feel to it that maybe you don't get at some of the more topic-specific sites.

One of the "rules" here is not to bash any other manufacturers products. That doesn't get very well adhered to. As far as getting the absolutely worthless comments/cracks/opinions from post-whoring individuals that have never touched or even seen the product in question to cease ......... GOOD LUCK.

This isn't a review website for the entire industry and the forum has enough opinion available, on a daily basis, to satisfy most questions.

OK, I get the point. Can we just close this thread then?
Thanks,

I'm still awaiting the photos teaser.
My company doesn't even advertise like some here. Why? Customer service and the expectation that I perform my job actually giving the customer what they paid for. When it is finished beyond the customers expectations, that's where the magic comes in to play and I get more business. Exponentially. ;)

I think we've already pissed off enough people in the audio world, with the recent opinions of Emo, Carver and the like.

Just a thought. This might be a good thread for people to share their positive experiences?
Thanks for all of your input,

You might want to reconsider...I hear her late husband left her about $50 million and she would love to have a "Boy Toy" to spend some of it on.

For $50M, she could look like Antony and she'd be hot as far as I'm concerned.

Good / bad customer services report can be posted in any forums I think by starting a new thread. But try to do it so in some related forums.
