I know, many here do not like Monster products, but I do and found a like new AVS 2000 SS for $700.00 on Audiogon. It has only been used for a month and has the original box and materials. Retail is $1699.00. What do you guys think? I have had a good experience with their equipment. I know all about the Monster reputation when it comes to someone else using the monster name, but that aside, what do you think about the prouduct I am asking about?

I have one. It does the job but takes up a lot of rack room. I think I'm going to have to get rid of mine here soon just for that reason alone, otherwise I'd keep it.

Well I pulled the trigger on it and it should be here Tuesday of next week. I have read nothing but great reviews on this unit.

So I received the unit today and also purchased a new HDP 2550 unit to go along with it. I must tell you that the results were a lot better than I expected. I can honestly say that the video is clearer and the audio has even more punch to it. Now, before everyone starts blasting me, I did not connect the sub to it...there is no way the AVS 2000 could handle that much current along with the Emo XPA 2. When it is cranked up, the AMP meter is registering around 6-7 with just the fronts firing, and around 8-9 with the center and surrounds on, so there is still plenty of capacity left. I am really pleased with these two purchases! BTW got both for less than the AVS 2000 cost new! Here's an updated picture of my system...

Is it the signature series version? If so, I might be interested if you decide to sell.
Cheers,

I got mine, which is the Signature Series, for $700.00 and it is in like new condition. It was probably the best money I have spent on my system! I certainly wouldnt have paid $1699 for a new one though.
