they are outstanding if tweaked and driven properly,, have you tried the Carver forum? Lots of knowledgable and friendly folks. Good luck.

A pair of AL-III in excellent condition currently can run as high as $1000.00, but more often fall in the $600-$800 range. The AL-III Plus usually brings less, often $500 and below. I DO NOT recommend shipping them as they are a) DAMN heavy; b) Easily damaged. I drove 1200 miles r/t to pick up mine. Lay them on their side with plenty of padding.

You will love them Ben. Originals or Plat. Original's can drop to 1 ohm.
