I have yet had the opportunity to hear the lsi25's. I was wondering what kind of sound difference i may notice from the rti9's.

The LSi is a higher end speaker. You would probably notice a smoother midrange and more accurate highs. I'm sure others will argue, as to what they hear, and only your ears will know what they hear. Many would say the tweeter on the LSi25 is a better tweeter for music.
Do you mean RTi A9 ?
Do you have them? What will you use to drive them? What will they be used for? What will you watch/listen with them?

yes the a9's
i am 95% ht. I have heard the a9's and they sound amazing. I like the multiple drivers and i have a sub for the low that the a9's may lack. i know the 25's have 10" powered subs.
I am currently running a onkyo 601 but will be upgrading soon.

What did you have in mind of upgrading to? Keep in mind the fact that you would probably be much happier with external amp, The A9's would be easier to drive since they are only 8 ohms and the LSI25's are 4 ohms speaks you would end up doing damage to the speaks or the avr if you run it this way for too long. Im sure that some will disagree with me on this as it has been talked about before. Good Luck

Well, RTi does stand for reference theater.
Given you are 95% home theater and you have auditioned the RTi ... unless you can get your ears on a set of LSi and convince yourself they are better, get what you heard and like.
If you said 95% music, or even 50/50, then I would say break your back to hear some LSi's before making a choice. It seems like around here it's always the critical music listeners who go from RTi to LSi.
But then again, you should listen and make your own choices.
Pay attention to what Raiders said about RTi 8-ohm versus LSi 4-ohm

i have taken into consideration the ohm levels. In my experience with onkyo amps i have never and i mean never seen them come up short. I would definitly agree that i need with a higher output amp, but i am basically married to onkyo amps. I appriciate the advice. I was leaning towards the rtia9s they seem to be geared at what i am looking for. I live in chicago land area, and i am having a tuff time to find a place to listen to the speakers.
