I have a buddy that i just talked out of buying a BOSE Cinemate from Target, and i'm trying to talk him into getting a 3.1 setup. Unfortunately, he VERY MUCH wants only something that will look slick with his setup, but he's not too keen on a soundbar (which i'm not necessarily either). But right now, he can get VM speakers fairly cheap from Newegg.
So - Could he run 3 VM10s for L/C/R and be adequate with a cheap PSW10 sub? Unfortunately, i don't know the size of the room as he just moved in this past week (which is why he was going to buy the speakers) and i haven't been there yet. Or would he need a VM20 at least for the center duty? If he could get by with 10s, that would be awesome!
