Be on the lookout for a real nice little 10 watt Jolida tube amp.
Check this out. Jolida has a new tube amp that is not only eye candy but delivers as well. The base of this tube amp that's about 7 inches by 7 inches is black. It has an elegant glass top that displays all of the tubes. It's set up like any other tube amp that displays the tubes but this one has a very pleasant appeal to the eye. Beneath each tube is a blue LED that illuminates the underside of each individual tube. Not only that, all of the lights on the small front panel are blue as well. Well done in the appeal department, as it definitely catches the eye.
This amp is, or could be classified as a "hand held amp". It is part of a series of gear from the makers of Jolida that is designed to be compact, good looking, great sounding and affordable.
A DAC and a transport that will stack above or below this amp is also in production. A tuna will also be available as part of the whole kit. At this time, I will not disclose the price of the entire system but I will say that they are aiming for a [I]very reasonable price.
It does not have an I-pod dock but you can plug in an MP3 or an I-pod player directly into the front of the amp. If memory serves, 2 different ohm rating speaker outputs and a couple of RCA inputs as well located on the back of this amp.
It is currently not on their website but look for it and matching gear within the next couple of months. Treitz3, reporting from Charlotte, NC. News channel Polk-'09. Have a good evening. Now back to our regularly scheduled program.
