I have had MIT shotgun S2 speaker cables and IC in my system for a few weeks now and finally compared them to my previous AQ Type 8 speaker cable and Viper IC. My system is a Marantz SA-8001 CD player, Musical Fidelity A1 (2008 model) integrated, and Tyler Linbrook Monitors.

I'll cut to the chase, the MITs sound better to my ears with my equipment than the AQ. The most obvious improvements are vocals and bass. Vocals that sounded great with the AQ setup now sound incredible with the MITs. The MITs reveal nuances and inflections in vocals that were recessed with AQ. Tunes like Alan Parsons, I Wouldn't Want To Be Like You", and Jane Monheit's, "I'm Glad There Is You", just sound crazy good - as in real. Also, bass is more prominate and seems to dig deeper with the MITs. Other things I noticed is that notes appear to hang in the air longer and tunes that I used to skip past because they didn't catch my ear now seem worth listening to.

Overall, I would say the MITs offer a fuller more sophisicated sound than the AQs. While I could certainly live with the AQ gear, I think the MITs provide more goodness all around. Also, the MITs did sound noticeably better following a few hundred hours burn in. :)

....tunes that I used to skip past because they didn't catch my ear now seem worth listening to.

Now that is impressive. Turning crummy songs into good songs. :)
