I bought a can of this stuff to try and I'm disappointed with the product. I applied it to my vinyl per instructions after my own cleaning routine. On every record I've used this on I get a build up of gunk on the stylus while playing. As a result it fux up the fidelity of the Lp and I have to pull the headshell and clean my stylus with a liquid cleaner. I do not recommend this stuff regardless of what you may hear.

Man, that is surprising. How much were you putting on? I had the complete opposite results. How do you clean your records?

I use the Mofi Super Record Wash which has a stylus lubricant in it. So far no problems.

The MoFi stuff is excellent.

I use the Mofi and the Gruv Glide with not sludge whatsoever.

Per instructions bro. Just a couple short sprays on the pad. SCompRacer posted this link recently and I've been using this method to clean with the use of a Shark Steam also. I'm to poor to get a RCM right now, but I get very good cleaning results with this. The Gruv Glide leaves some sort of residue, because if I don't apply it, there's no gunk build up at all on the stylus.

Crazy, I got paranoid and checked my stylus over and over after each time I played a record with gruv glide. I get no residue. Are you applying the Gruv Glide each time you play the record? It's only supposed to be applied once as it lasts a while.

Sorry SS. It wasn't my intention to scare anyone about this product. I used it per the instructions and I'm aware that one application lasts awhile. I dunno, maybe I just got a bad batch. ??? The stylus tip on the DL-160 cartridge I use is really fine and digs deep. I've used this stuff sparingly and still get a build up of white, gunky stuff on the stylus tip. Whereas if I don't use it the stylus stays clean.
