Help me! I installed my two 12inch MOMOs and one of them makes a weird popping noise. Is it blown or what? I bought the subs though a "discount" site brand new and I don't know where to turn to. What can I do?

Mike,
Does the "popping" sound occur only at higher listening levels?
Did you install these woofers in a sealed enclosure that has a internal volume of .88 cubic feet per woofer? From you desciption, it sounds as if there may be air leak in the box. Reseal all interior seams with a silicone caulking and make sure that the foam
gasket for the woofer is providing a sufficient seal also.
If the woofer is still having a problem, then give us a call at
800-377-7655 between the hours of 9 AM to 6 PM Eastern time and we will be glad to help.

Thanks,
Kim

HEY MIKE WASS-UP! ON MY POLK DB-10'S I HEARD A NOISE, WHEN I INVESTIGATED, THE SUSPENSION MATERIAL AT THE BOTTOM OF THE CONE, INSIDE THE WOOFER HAD COME UNGLUED. MY CAR HAD A WATER LEAK AND SOAKED THE BOX. I THINK THE HI HUMIDITY AND HEAT HELPED THIS HAPPEN. I WAS ABLE TO REPAIR IT WITH SOME ADHEASIVES I HAD AVAILABLE AT WORK, AIRCRAFT STUFF! WAALLAA, NO MORE NOISE. HEY ITS A TRY! GOOD LUCK NOISE HUNTING.
