I am getting a pair of SDA 2-B speakers on Sunday and look forward to doing side by side comparisons with my RTA-12Bs. I know there are many strong opinions on the RTAs and the SDAs so I am really looking forward to hearing for myself. This vintage Polk speaker thing is addictive. I have a pair of RTA-12C speakers as well.

I'm sure many of us will be interested in your thoughts. I have only been able to compare my 2B's(which I've had a long time) to my recently acquired Vandsersteens. 2 entirely different types of sound/speakers. I must say (now that the 2B's with the 194 tweeters installed and moved into a larger room with more side and rear wall clearance) that the Polks are sounding better than ever!

Would be interesting comparison side by side but you wont get the SDA effect. You gonna be using speaker selector to do this?

Good point, I hadn't thought of that. I'm not sure how these pin and blade connections work on the SDAs to get the SDA effect.
Can anyone educate me?

Well you can play them w/o the cable but it wont have the SDA effect so you wont get a true SDA sound. You could just for shits and giggles do a side by side and see what differences you get.

You can jury rig an interconnect just by sticking a wire into the pin of each speaker. Just make sure your amp is common ground.
