A simple down and dirty question: What is the forums opinion on matching a Polk PSW1000 sub with a Klipsch Sub 12 sub? Specs available upon request. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

It may be better to go with the same two subs if possible.

I would love to know the same. I have an old Infinity BU-2 sub that I've thought of stealing back from the kids game room to use with the Klipsch Sub 12. Can you ever have too much LFE? (I'm sure that will get a comment or two.)

Yeah, I'm not much of an audio techie....But really like my Polk but have heard good thinks about the sub12 and it's range does compliment those of the Polk.

Funny you should mention that. I just got a great deal on a used Infinity BU-2 sub over the weekend. I got it with a pair of RTi8's and a pair of RTi6's. I've pretty much got it dialed in now, it's sounding pretty good. It's not the most musical sounding sub out there, but it's great for home theater.

As far as two subs, you're really better off using two of the same. Give it a shot though, it might fit your tastes. The kid might not enjoy losing his sub though.;)

The kids are so small they don't even realize what they have in the old hand-me-down home theater. I have to turn the avr on for them when they are watching movies. Doesn't seem right to just use the tv sound.

Just thinking it might be nice to round out an odd corner with the old sub, but I don't know if it's even worth it.
