Anyone else getting redirected on some threads? When I open up the Windows 7 RC thread I get redirected.

I'm on the work PC, can't imagine it's something on my end...

My Symantec Antivirus Enterprise popped-up with a warning message when I clicked on the "Windows 7 RC" thread.

I restarted the computer and get "One of your disks need to be checked for consistency..."

WTF?

No, I am not kidding.

I kinda got impatient waiting because the machine appeared frozen, so I held the power button for 5 seconds and powered it back on.

It was probably writing to the disk or something like that so that's why there was a disk check... not sure though.

Well this is a first for me. Visit a web page and get nailed. I'll refrain from rebooting till someone figures something out. I am too busy to play Mr. Computer fix it right now:mad:

Edit: BTW I just noticed you are using a Dayton Titanic MK III sub. You like it? What kinda box?
Thanks

I believe my Symantec Enterprise AV has a script blocker, that's what was going on (at least for me).

I like it very much, sealed box with the Dayton HPSA 1000W amplifier.

For classical music, I have it set very quiet (-6db on the SPL meter) to the point where you don't even notice it's on :) It's very fast, musical, and accurate sounding.

Although if you want a loud sub, this can do double duty for HT too. It's impossible to blow one up.

I don't know what a script blocker is.

... It's impossible to blow one up.

I seperated the cone from the voice coil;) I am thinking hard about that amp. I like the EQ in it. Yes it is plenty for HT. I have two in stereo in some custome SDAs.

Wow. I opened the thread and read the first 4 or 5 posts thinking y'all were full of crap then all of a sudden I get sent to some different site. Thats just weird.

Yes, happening to me as well, but all scripts are stopped on the redirected site with No Script on Firefox.

I'm not sure why the No Script program isn't stopping the redirect though.....

I even reset my allowed sites....

I don't believe you ;)

Seriously, what did you do to blow one of these?

I always thought the 15" Titanic MKIII was impossible to be blown. Guess I was wrong. But then again, I am calibrated for moves at 0db, not hot.

Was it calibrated hot, or in too big of an enclosure?

ben62670

A little, and yes. It sounded best in the 10^3 enclosure, but the power handling went down to roughly 500watts. I have a pair in 2 3^3 sealed cabs now. HT was better before, but it is certainly acceptable now. After I get an EQ in the mix I will be fine. I may just go with the 500w version of what you have.

We're working on that issue. Just ignore.

Well its a little hard to ignore when your redirected to a different site....

I tried it again and its still got a redirect, maybe you should just delete those threads and I'll just make a new one.....

As long as it isn't calibrated hot, you should be fine. It wasn't made to be abused but can take some power nevertheless.

Think of it like a car - if you redline the engine, roll it back on a hill and drop the clutch, how long is the engine/tranny going to last? Not very long IMO. The Dayton Titanic subs are excellent performers when calibrated appropriately.

I didn't really find it that difficult to ignore.....that's just me. Hopefully you found a way to cope in the interim.
