I am 15 and i am going to be 16 soon. My parents made me save up for a car since i was 10. Now they will not let me buy a car; i have to have their 04 honda pilot. Since its a lame car the system might as well bump. i have plenty of cash so thats not an issue. i want something that people can hear 2 blocks away. and i listen to rap.
I want 2 12” Polk Audio db1222 in a ported enclosure:

i was thinkin about either a Kicker 08ZX750.1 or an Alpine MRP-M1000? which one would make my subs bump louder?
Kicker: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_2068ZX7501/Kicker-08ZX750-1.html?showAll=Y&tp=115
Alpine: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500MRP1000/Alpine-MRP-M1000.html
rear speakers Polk Audio db651 :
shttp://www.crutchfield.com/p_107DB651S/Polk-Audio-db651s.html?tp=95
front speakers Polk Audio db6501:
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_107DB6501/Polk-Audio-db6501.html?tp=106
Which amp should i get a Kicker 08ZX350.4 or an Apline Alpine MRP-F600 for the speakers?
Kicker: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_2068ZX3504/Kicker-08ZX350-4.html?tp=115
Alpine: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500MRP1000/Alpine-MRP-M1000.html
and would a Pioneer DEH-P6000UB CD Receiver have enough preamp outputs for another amp later on if i wanted to hook up another amp to my subs?
I am open to all suggestions please feel free to criticize all you want.

well it's late and i'm too tired to give this too much thought but i'll say this: as a fellow rap listener i can tell you that those polks in a ported enclosure probably won't give you the bump you want. in fact if you want BUMP, keep it sealed :D
and go for subs with a little more oomf...i had an infinity before that hit hard and could take a mean beating. or you could go with jl or boston acoustics...not what i'd pick but they're ok in my book for hitting hard.
of course i'm very biased and want to recommend memphis audio subs and amp...but those will set you back some green.
i like your choice in speakers...although i think infinity kappa components are worth taking a look at.
maybe i'll take a look at those links in the next couple days for you

gotta start makin my posts smaller. i type a letter and comp. freezes b4 i send:mad: sorry conner anyway hardy hit the nose on subs and box. 2 mobile monitors sealed.(period) unless your BIG pimpin-1 SR, 1 eclipse 8200, and tell em hardy, memphis makes some bad a$$ subs too. if moneys no oblect like u say 4get about dbs and get some MM comp0nents. and of course cadence ia4 for highs and ia7 or 9 for sub(s) better HU choices out there also...

Sorry i was kinda unclear. I have 10,000 in the bank, but i think my parents would flip out if i got a 10 grand system so i think 2 grand is reasonable. anything under 2 grand whole system??? without installation. Like if you had 2 grand to spend what would you get?

awsome. good question. this is the $2000 thread...normally i'd have only front stage but since its a pilot guees u'd like rear speakers. MM components up front MM coaxials in rear driven by ia4. 2 MM subs driven by ia7 including wires looking at about 1400...HU not positive of cousre there's 880 prs, alpine9887 and eclipse. i vote no rear fill, bi-amp MM components. get 1 sub now, save for 2nd. that will bring u back down to about 1100 b4 HU. add audiocontrol dqxs = 1700 and u got 300 for HU cd5030 and your at 2000. 7200mkll, 880prs, or 9887 and your at about 2200. your talkin SQ dream system(tuned and installed rite)

I agree with cadenceclipse, you could build a real nice system with the components he mentioned. personally with $2000 i'd get a kenwood HU, infinity kappa components up front and probably d651's in the back. i'd try to get the deal i got on my m3's and an mclass amp for them. for power i'd probably look at memphis, kenwood, apline, and polk...not sure if i'd bi-amp.
it's important to go quality on the front speakers though they're the ones that need to sound the clearest, the rear ones will just compliment them. in fact i'll sell you my db651's for $50 :D

nahh questions are cool keep 'em comin' i'm happy to help at least! you probably wouldnt have to build a custom box but you could save money that way...i've built a couple of my own boxes...doing one now actually.
about the db651's i think i tried answering before but i dont know where it went...anyway...i got them in spring 08 i believe and they were more filler speakers than anything. they were being run off the head unit but the way my system was set up with amplified rear speakers and the subs i had to have the fade set pretty far back for the sub and the rears so sound right so the 651's didnt get much action at all. they're really in great condition i'll send you pictures or whatever, even a video of them playing if you want me to test them first. i'll look at the subs real quick and get back to you

from looking at crutchfield i saw that the 12" Momo series subs with SINGLE voice coils handle more than any other db or momo series 12" subs...up to 425watts rms. so to answer your question, yes those subs would be able to bump more. andddd crutchfield has them buy one get one half off :D
