Back to the topic at hand - I'll talk you into buying Emotiva. Just received my MPS-2 and the fact that you get to assemble this beast, lets you see the quality of the components and product generally.

I'm not necessarily into the "brand names" as such and if it sounds good to me, then I'm happy. I acknowledge that the big brand names have earned their stripes and reputation and deserve to be there, but sometimes they "trade" on that name with not essentially a better product than product X.

As stated previously, if you don't like the Emo product, you can certainly send it back and try something else. Good luck with your amp endeavours.

Where the hell did find that pic of me??!!!

It's a recent pic of Cyndi Lauper, I think.

I want to apologize to you guys for some of my earlier posts. I shouldn't of allowed myself to get involved in a pissing match with the trolls. I'm better than that.

Thank you - monster is an understatement! Once I position it, it won't be moving as it weighs a ton! Have recently assembled it, now the fun part of hooking the system up to it :D

If you get a chance, please give us a review. That is one amp I would love to own.

Hello everyone. Been out of town as of late and haven't been checking CP on a regular basis (or at least not this section.) I just wanted to take the time to thank everyone that posted useful comments and advice in this thread.

Wow! I get busy for a few days and a whole thread goes nuts! I am offended however, and must set something straight, for the record. I cannot be certain whether F1nut is correct in his assumptions stated below (although I do believe them to be probably true, since he wrote them and he is not, to the best of my knowledge, given to making statements such as these lightly) but I do know something is absolutely certain ...
xcapri is responsible for this tag. He's what's known as a coward.
Bluefox is responsible for this one. Another coward.
Wow!! You are in a fantasy world. I have never added a tag to any post. ...
Not true and not true. You seem to be on a roll. Another apology is owed.

... Other than what those with moderator privileges may, or may not be able to do, only the person that adds a tag can edit or remove it ...
Just have a Club Polk Moderator check who set the tags and it would be easy. When that is determined, I expect to see some apologies from the self-righteous "Sherlock Holmes" of this thread.

Now I set one tag namely "emotiva". I hope that isn't wrong.... and this, sir, is a blatant misrepresentation of the truth. I added that tag, and I can remove or alter it to prove it (if so requested).

In light of this fact, I must agree that certain falsehoods have been misrepresented as truth in this thread. The person wrongly claiming to have added this sole useful tag may consider himself busted on this particular occasion.

That is all, but lies are still lies. The statements made by such a person will not carry the same weight henceforth.

I'm sorry I didn't do so already, but I was quite surprised at the heated debate that I discovered in this thread. Good luck!

I added the emotiva tag and just checked that I could remove it which I can. I note that the other tags were removed. Too many on here make false assumptions and accusations then assume they are always correct because they have thousands of posts. Well it simply isn't true. Again, ask any Polk Audio Moderator to prove me wrong on what I have said regarding the tags.

I agree, this forum tends to get out of control with inappropriate language from its senior members.

It's not an insult when it's a fact.

BTW, feel free to add my name to your ignore list if you find my comments offensive.
