These are in great condition. Some of the best I have seen. I have upgraded the crossovers on these with sonicaps and mills resistors. Only the highs have been done and they sound absolutely fantastic.

I am only selling because I have too many speakers at the moment. These are in a spare bedroom doing nothing.

I'll take $100.00obo.

No shipping at this time. If nobody picks them up in few days I'll open them up for shipping.

Pics will come later. I just wanted to get the thread going.

The grills need washed. Other than that they look fine. No snags anywhere. They were dirty when i got them and just never cleaned them...

I can also remove them two blue spots. I just haven't done that either...

I'll take $75.00 for them.

Beautiful scenery! Are you selling any of that? We Californians don't get to see much greenery out here. Mostly rocks, dirt and sage brush.

Good luck with the sale!

Yes.

The house you can barely see in the pics is for sale with about and acre and a half of land for $150,000.00 It was built about 6 months ago.

Let me know.:)

If you decide you will ship these I would be interested. They look like they are rosewood and would match my Monitor 10A's perfectly. Let me know. Thanks.

Just a guess. But it would probably be around $50 to ship them...

If that sounds ok to you. Let me know and we can work something out.

Now you figured out my method to my madness. It's getting hard to find a place to sit down around here so I may have to invade the kids rooms. There young, they will get over it. I joined this forum last October and see what happens. You guys are a bad influence on me. My wife says it is a sickness. I guess I have the Polk flu. Hope it's not terminal.

I have everything in my signature plus NAD, Fisher and Sony speakers that I haven't listed. Electronics, well that's another story. One of these days I will post some pictures. That is for another thread.

I an curious. Are these Monitor 5B or 5A? I thought that the 5B had the SL-2000 and the 5A had the Peerless or SL-1000. I have a pair that are identical to these with Peerless and they are labeled 5A. I am not trying to cause grief, just trying to figure out all the models.

I believe the earlier 5B's had the Peerless tweets, and the mid-late 5B's had the SL2000.

Polk's confusing like that. They have a lot of transitional/crossover models. I thought I had it all figured out for a while, and then I realized that I had no idea...lol

I am curious to know what the xo component values were. There seems to be a few variations for the Monitor 5 with the Peerless tweeters.
Thanks

Hey Bluecomet.

You're going to have to have a Polk get together. I'm inviting myself as the first person on the list so we can hear all those speakers!

I don't know where Jessup, Pa. is but I used to live on the Eastern border of the state. Grew up there.

Get those hooked up and make some space for "us"...what do the rest of you think?
