Hello all, I just picked up a 37" Lcd from Panasonic. I love the look, the picture and everything about the t.v. except the sound. It wasn't supposed to be an issue anyway since I was planning to run RCA cables out to my NAD c325bee amp. My year old 32" Panny has analog outputs and I just assumed the 37" would too but it doesn't!

So, is there any way of me being able to connect this thing to my c325? Of course it has HDMI and Optical outputs. I hate AVR receivers due to their complexity and use the NAD for 70% sound and 30% general t.v. I have the HDMI hooked up to my dvd player so I can watch movies thru the NAD but I'm not savvy enough to figure out how to just run the t.v. to the amp. Am I out of luck or am I missing something very obvious? Thanks everyone!

Ray

I saw an hdmi to vga/rca adaptor on ebay for 10.00. Problem I see with that is hdmi is a digital signal and vga/rca are analog. I don't know if I would trust the picture and sound quality with such an adaptor. You might be better off with a pre for the nad. I'm sure other folks can chime in with better advice for you, I'm fairly new to this myself. Good luck

I also have the 37" Panny LCD and really enjoy it. How well does the headphone jack work for analog audio out?

I think it works pretty good. I have the 1/8" to RCA outputs and run it into the back of my NAD amp. If you have the volume set at a pretty good level on the NAD, then you can fine tune the volume with the Panasonic remote! I have output to the speakers turned off. I was pleasantly surprised when I found I can adjust the volume coming thru my speakers thru the Panny remote. Great TV!
