Hey Guys. Just got a pair of Monitor 10's. They have what I beleive visually to be Perless twets. They are however silver and have Polk Audio written under them. Are these Perless or an attempt by Polk to duplicate them.
They are in the 10's that have the Polk emblem on the lower right of the speaker, not on the grill.
Any ideas. Are they as good as the Perless ???
Thanks
First post with a pic. Hopefully the pic attaches correctly.

Those aren't Peerless tweeters, it's the SL-1000. I believe those are 10B's.
I've never heard the SL-1000's myself, but from everything I've ever gathered, they're not as nice as the Peerless tweeters.
Congrats on the new speaks!

Sorry, but the Peerless were not stamped Polk Audio. I believe that those are the SL-1000.

Can you post a pic of the labels on the back?

Definitely SL1000 tweeters, the RD0's are much better.

My bad- they are 10b's guys. Sorry for spelling Peerless wrong as well.
So even though they look the same, minus the color, I guess they are not the Peerless. You guys know everything.
The 7A's that do have them sound awesome. More realistic sound IMO. I guess an upgrade would be worth it.
I am borrowing an older Phase Linear amp to power them. I know that is a rather old amp but nobody that I have read in these forums ever talks about them. I know that Bob Carver built them. Anyone have experience with them and can compare with the newer units.
Thanks again for the ID guys.

Ok. I guess I shouldn't have posed the question. Sorry.
The SL1000 makes the SL2000 sound warm. :D
