i know they arent name brand... but for the price.... can't beat it.... but i will also need a box for the sub....
so theres the possibility of going with the deal at crutchfield

and if i buy two... i get a free box for them.
but in the near future...[for a grad present] i am getting my girl a sub and amp. would i be able to do some changes to that box to separate it into two boxes? or am i crazy? i thank you guys in advance for the help!

I would really help if you posted links that didn't have ... in the middle of them. None of your links work.

Welcome to car audio! I just got into car audio myself, and gl with your install :D

You can run the clarion speakers from your hu possibly, its rated @ 35rms.

The amp is over powered in bridged for the first subs, unless you are wiring it @ 8ohms then it should do the trick. As for the second pair of sub, it will run both sub in each respected channel. However, you won't be able to push it to its full potential.

I've seen Best Buy set a car on fire. I think that constitutes the "worst that can happen."

The head unit might be rater at 35, but when it's trying to push that much, it won't sound too clean. It might put out like 10 watts cleanly. As far as the amp, it's not really over powered for the first subs, its probably just perfect for it. But I'd recommend the MTX's anyway. If possible I'd step up to a slightly more powerful amp. Better to have more power and not use it, then not have enough and push the amp into clipping and blow your subs.

The Clairon and MTX gear are solid pieces. The speakers wont be great but theyll sound better than stock. The MTX sub is a very good sub.

The Valor amp and sub are flea market quality. The best policy for those would be something about a 10 foot pole.

well, i'm planning on selling my rockford fosgate punch 300.2 amp and polk momo 8'sub in a week or so, once I have my sr 10' in place. If you are willing to wait that long, I will let it go for $215 shipped, if not it will be on craiglist/ebay.
