This is the one that I got and returned from a seller on ebay, it had a small tear on the surround, he replaced with another and it is perfect but tolled me he re listed this one after he "fixed it" now thats fine but he made no mention of it in his add on ebay and I would like to spare some other member of this forum the agony of getting this in and finding the tear-repair. look in the first pic and you can see the tear by the top left screw hole.

I sent the seller a question about the hole and will post his response here when I get it.

Well he did send me a new one and even pay for the return shipping and was friendly even after my in ital e-mail, I did not know he re listed it until after I sent him a e-mail saying I got it and left positive for me, he did make it right with me, But not mentioning that it has been repaired is wrong and definitely wanted to warn everyone on here because they will notice it just as fast as I did, 2 seconds.

you should ask what the gash on the surround in pic #1 is

I asked him about the apparent hole in the surround. I want to see if he lies about it. If he does, leave a negative feedback for him and post a link in the feedback to this thread.

I already gave positive.

I sent him an email yesterday asking specifically the condition of the surround because in the picture there was a place that did not look right. Here is the reply I received today.

Tracy, There was a very small tear about a 1/4" I repaired it with a dab of speaker surround glue on the back side, turned out great and it is very hard to see, other than that the speaker is like new and works perfect. thank you for looking. Chris

His response seems honest but I think I will pass. At this point I am just going to buy replacements from Polk. The MWs are starting to get too high on ebay and condition is always questionable.

Well that's good he came clean but should mention it in his description.

I'm done with used e-bay items and will test everything throughly on CL, you should see the look on peoples faces when I show up with an I-pod and speakers to test an amp or sub-woofer, and a cordless drill and a multi-tester for speakers.

lol... I must say I have been fortunate with my Ebay/CL shopping, but I usually ask lots of questions and even tell the sellers on Ebay to reject my bids if they themselves would not accept what they are trying to sell me as I leave scathing feedback if I do get burned. Some have taken me up on that offer.
