As I continue my rediscovery of vinyl, I have found some wonderful recordings but this one is more and more amazing with each listen. The clarity and power of the guitars and drums are fantastic, but the vocals seem to come alive and dance on the air. My computer is in another room from my system, and from here I feel like I am back in the private rooms at the Viper club all over again. I highly recommend this recording to others:)
All Hail Vinyl!!!

They're still great live. I've seen them three times within the past four years. They've still got it. Amazing. Nothing beats watching Neil Peart play the drums.

as you posted that, the drum solo came on... lol! That was worth the cost of the LP all by itself. I don't think there is a drummer that has ever been in the business as good as he is, but that's just my opinion...

I love that album! I used to wear that out back in the day, and still play the DVD quite often. Rush is one of, if not my very favorite bands of all time. It's amazing how much sound three great musicians can put out. On a side note, one of the things I love doing on a good Friday or Saturday night after a few beverages is put in a live Rush DVD and play it on the system. Rush in Rio, R30, and Snakes and Arrows Live are all absolutely incredible, but I think the sound quality is best on the R30 DVD, so that gets played most. There's nothing quite like seeing a live Rush show. I've been to 12 of them now and they never cease to amaze me. I have just recently got back into vinyl. I've managed to find Moving Pictures, but the record is in poor shape. I'm definitely going to keep my eyes peeled for A Show of Hands. Great find there nooshinjohn!

I can get you a copy if you want it... just let me know. I paid 26 bucks for mine, so figure that plus shipping...

nooshinjohn,
Thank you very much for that! Funds are going to be tight for the next couple of weeks after hopefully picking up those SDAs, but after that I'll contact you on that! I can't wait to hear that on vinyl, especially now that I've put the Denon 160 cartridge on my Technics 1200 Mk2. I just love the way that thing sounds. Thanks again.
Steve
