Speakers

I bought some PolkAudio speakers RM6750. I can't find info on them.Are they good I payed $159.00 for them.They said they are discontinued.
Also I need brackets.Thanks

The RM6750 is basically a HTIB (Home Theater In A Box) minus the AVR. They are basically 8 ohm speakers with an operating range of 20-100W per channel and the sub is an 8" sub with 50W continuous and 100W peak power capability. If you paid $159 for them brand new I would say that is about right. What AVR are you using to power them? As for brackets you can wall mount them right out of the box using the keyhole slots on the back of the speakers. If you want more adjustability I would try the Omnimount 10.0 or even something like the B-Tech BT33 or the Pinpoint AM25. Don't have any experience with any of these mounts, but they were the "recommended" choices after a quick Google search. Good luck and maybe someone with more experience with these speakers can make a better/more educated suggestion for you. Welcome to Club Polk.

Thanks, I am new at this. I Have A Yamaha RX-V365. I plan on upgradeing later.I guess it is kind of cheap but sounds good when i hooked tuner up. The geek squad will hook up the rest tommorow. Thanks

Looks like that Yammy will do just fine, 100W per channel x 5 channels. Geek squad, what do you need those guys for? lol. Cheap or not if it sounds good to you and it does what you want it to do that is all that matters.

+1,000,000 Geek Squad is a waste of $$$$. Nothing tricky about hooking up a HT, if you get stuck we will be glad to help..... free of charge, lol.

Hooking up a HT system isn't as complicated as it might seem. It's pretty self explanatory really.

If you have any questions, there are many people here willing to help.

Like messiah said, doing it yourself really helps to familiarize yourself with your system. Plus you'll save some money(I'm sure The Geek Squad isn't too cheap) to put towards something else in your system.

I was in BB and an elderly couple was paying $100 (which I think is Geek Squads minimum charge) to come to their house and set up a Logitech remote. I was like are you serious???? Man, I am gonna get out of the Air Force and work there, lol.
