I just spoke with him and chastized him for wanting to sell them...J/K
He said he could get them here for a reasonable shipping fee of a couple hundred bucks. but he is looking into it tommorow for me... any posibilities of seting up a polk audio express if that fails? With the price he is asking I could do the TL mods to them and not be so far in the hole...

Very nice ad. Lot's of detailed pictures.
A great contrast to the typical Craigslist ads...it seems like lately they all have one or two really crappy, grainy blurry cell phone pictures that barely even show the item...lol
Go for it John.:)

These SRS's appear to have had an "interesting" life. Among other cosmetic issues, the top cap on the left speaker is on backwards. The rounded corners are supposed to be on the front (see the 3rd, 5th, and last pic in the ad). I'm sure there is a great story behind how the left top cap got turned around.
EDIT: I just noticed the 9th picture, which shows the back of the left speaker. There is a large chip in the top cap's veneer. Maybe that's the reason for the turn around. One wonders why the right speaker's top cap wasn't turned around to match.

Actually all 4 corners are to be rounded, the front nose of this set got snapped off. this set is in need of new caps, I was shocked in the condition of the grill cloth on these considering the condition of the caps. the grill cloth is in fantastic shape.
They do need some TLC.

Yikes! It's worse than I thought. I just went back and saw the 14th and 15th pics, which more clearly show no end cap over the grille frame due to the snapped off nose.

Maybe. Maybe not. Lotsa stuff doesn't show up in photographs of dark fabrics...like, for example, cigarette smoke and stains (biological and otherwise).

The guy lives 5 min from my house, I got my SDA SRS 1.2's from him, of course they were in much better shape.
"one of the drivers has an occasional rattle"

Great deal for someone thats local and love projects. Shouldn't take but a couple hundred to get them up to spec.
