I read about this last night in the new Sound and Vision, which was in yesterday's mail.

He is putting all his work on Blu-Ray (DVD and CD versions available), and S&V raved about how good it is. The first release is 10 Blu-Ray DVDs and covers up to 1972.

If you are a fan then this probably is a must have.

Sound and Vision did not mention SACD. In so far as surround sound, at least in Archives 1, there is only a little, and it is used for things like wind in the trees, etc., not music.

Off subject, but I have seen in the past others mention one of the reasons why Sony "abandoned" SACD is because Blu-Ray is suppossed to be even better for digital music. Whether that is true, either about Sony or Blu-Ray, I do not know, but it sounds reasonable.

I'm not really seeing his point  So what if Neil is finding a little more "Gold". Not everybody in the world alive today was born during the "Love Revolution". He sounds like a disgruntled "hippie", IMHO :)
