10A Tweeters

I am trying to get my 10A's with these old SL2000 (peerless replacements) to sound like the rest of my speakers. The rest all share the same Tweets and Mids. CS 400, FX500, RT2000 (rear center) I would be willing to change the CS 400 tweeters to match any upgrade tweets for the 10A's. Having suffered with these original replacement for the last 10 years I would like to at least get all the fronts to have a closer timbre match. If this is a previous thread I would appreciate a link to it. Thanks

I am also willing to purchase a different center channel if a closer timbre match can be had with different tweeters for my Monitor 10A's

Thanks Stan, I have the center and surrounds they recommend. I guess my only other alternative is to replace the tweeters and get rid of these old screechers. Oh if only I had stocked up on the peerless tweeters. I put the one good one I had left in the front left speaker, man I forgot how good these speakers used to sound. And the timbre match with the Trilam tweeters was very close. Oh well, guess I will order the new replacement tweeters for the Monitor 10A's. Guess it's time for the RDO's.

Too funny, I was hoping to find one myself. I will be keeping it for now. If I were you I would keep my eye on ebay. I will consider your offer, and send you the bad one too if you like.

As you probably saw from the above link, the CS400i is a good match to your 10s. I believe all 3 drivers are different than the CS400, but perhaps you could change them out to get better results?

Keep your eyes peeled on the fleabay - there are peerless tweeters popping up regularly...
