guys/gals - This may seem like a silly question.
Is there a preferred direction for hooking up MIT avt cables. Should the end with the box go closer to the source. there are no markings or instructions.

There should be an arrow on those cables pointing in the direction of the signal. That said, the box should be closest to the destination.

thx F1
I searched the cables up and down and could not find a marking. I have a second pair of avt 1's coming. I will see if they are marked.
Of course I guessed wrong before your response and had to pull the s**t out.

I searched the cables up and down and could not find a marking.
Hmmm.....should be on the jacket, IIRC.

My AVt's aren't marked either. I learned the long end of the cable is the source end for both IC and speaker cable.

I tried doing a search on the subject but could not find much so excuse me if it has been covered before. I always (most of the time) see an arrow pointing to what direction the signal travels. I have never heard a reason why it goes in a certain direction. Just curious?? What happens if it is reversed, how does it effect the sound? I just wondered why?? Thanks

It's a theory and suggestion. Just connect your cables and listen to some music....the rest is totally up for you to decide.
I use arrows.
